Every year our Father's Day is spent in a different city! This year we are in High Point, NC for Father's Day. Rick preached a Homecoming this morning, we sang an afternoon concert, then ministered at another church in the evening service! A busy day!! I'm so thankful for a husband who loves serving the Lord, even if it's busy!! I'm so thankful for a husband who is dedicated to following Him. That's why I'm willing to follow him anywhere! I am so thankful for a husband who puts his family first...even before his own needs and wishes. We had a wonderful Father's Day. A young man was saved this morning!! That makes it all worthwhile.

Twenty years ago today, our son, Daniel Seth, was stillborn. Even though it has been 20 years, it was still a sad day for us. It's hard to not look at every 20 year old boy I see and wonder what Daniel would be like, to think what our family would be like with another boy in the mix, to imagine having him sing with us..... Today, though, I chose to concentrate on the joys of Daniel's homecoming in heaven. We have the faith to believe that Daniel is in the presence of our Lord, and that he is happy and complete. He has been there with our Lord for 20 years! (According to our time on earth!) I can imagine him saying to me, "Don't grieve so, Mom. I am joyful in the presence of the Savior. I'm waiting for you at His feet." How sweet heaven will be!! I am headed to heaven because I've been saved by God's grace and through His blood. My dear husband will be there. My precious children will be there. Will you meet us there? Have you been saved by His grace? What a homecoming it will be!

After our last picnic, we were determined to enjoy lots more relaxing picnics this summer!! No matter that we had to drive 5 hours for one!! We drove to Louisville, KY and enjoyed a great picnic with my sweet parents last Friday on our way to IN. It was loads of fun!!
